Deposits made from Ranite D Solid Steel Core Hardfacing Electrodes produce superior resistance to abrasion and moderate impact. Rockwell C Hardness is 62-64 as deposited. Ranite D is the hardest commercially available hardfacing electrode other than tungsten carbide. Can be used wherever severe abrasion is a problem, including dredge cutter teeth, tool joints and drill collars, brick dies, chutes, conveyor flights, exhaust fan blades etc.
